Commonwealth official resigns over Mugabe links

    JOHANNESBURG
    A senior Commonwealth adviser said on Tuesday he was resigning following allegations that he had close business links with Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and his government, news reports said. Moses Anafu denied the allegations but was quoted as saying that he was stepping down in December as the 54-nation group's special adviser on Africa. Last week the Commonwealth recalled Anafu as an election observer from Zimbabwe after the allegations surfaced in the British media.
