BANGLADESH: 40,000 slum residents face eviction
DHAKA، 22/5/2012 (IRIN) - Up to 40,000 people living in the biggest slum in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, could be facing eviction after a court order to clear government land in the city. So far 4,500 have been put out of their homes, and activists claim there are similar plans for the rest of the residents in the coming months. full report
