Following its successful series of short films on the human cost of climate change in
Africa
, IRIN Films is pleased to announce the launch of the first series of new short films on climate change in Asia.
From a Sherpa village high up in the Nepal Himalayas where villagers are struggling to find fresh supplies of water now that glaciers have melted and farmers in the south of
Nepal
who have been forced to turn their back on rice production in favour of bananas, to an army of Buddhist monks replanting forests in
Cambodia
, these short videos tell some of the stories of how climate change is affecting communities throughout Asia.
IRIN will be releasing further videos in this series in July, featuring similar accounts from
Vietnam
,
Bangladesh
and more from Cambodia.
