SUDAN: Air raid on Narus kills six
NAIROBI, 11 December 1998 (IRIN) - Six people were killed and 16 wounded in three-days of government bombing of the SPLA-held town of Narus, AP quoted an aid official as saying yesterday. Dan Eiffie, a spokesman for Norwegian People’s Aid, said the town 25 km north of the Kenyan border, is “purely a civilian centre”. He added the deaths occurred on Tuesday when a government plane dropped 14 bombs.
