AFGHANISTAN: Insurgency, insecurity threaten health progress
Up to 100,000 Afghans have been deprived of access to basic health services due to attacks on health workers and health clinics in different parts of the country during last four months, according to the Ministry of Pulic Health. The new figure is in addition to the over 300,000 people who last year lost access to primary health facilities, mostly in the volatile south and southeast.
