About IRIN Radio
IRIN Radio gives a voice to vulnerable communities and provides them with information to make better-informed decisions about their own lives. IRIN Radio produces high-quality programming in local languages on humanitarian issues, ready for broadcast by local stations. The service also provides hands-on training to journalists, developing their production and reporting skills, allowing local radio to serve communities more effectively.

AFGHANISTAN: "Local integration" key to displacement problems – report
Aid agencies and the government must focus on integrating displaced people into their host communities, according to a report by an internally displaced persons (IDP) task force comprising government bodies, NGOs and the UN. Currently 235,000 IDPs live in different provinces in Afghanistan. IRIN's Masooma Mohammadi reports.

AFGHANISTAN: HIV-positive patients to get ARV therapy for first time
Forty out of the 504 people officially diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in Afghanistan will be provided with standard antiretroviral therapy (ARVs) as the country tries to enhance HIV control activities. According to the Ministry of Public Health, the country is introducing ARVs for the first time. IRIN's Masoud Popalzai reports.
