Lower education in Zambia is divided into three levels; primary, junior secondary and upper secondary. Higher education is very limited and centred on the five universities in the country. The UN Children’s Fund, UNICEF, estimates there are 75,000 children living on the streets, skipping school, begging or eking out a living by washing cars or carrying groceries.
