Shattered Lives: Nepal Earthquake

On 25 April 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. The epicentre, in the mountains Gorkha district, killed thousands across the country and devastated large parts of the capital, Kathmandu. The exact toll will never be known, but the enormous scale of the task facing the humanitarian community is clear. International aid and relief teams have descended on Nepal, while millions of people try to rebuild their shattered lives.
