NAIROBI, 12 January 2013 (IRIN) - In the Mukuru slum, one of the biggest in Nairobi, a group of residents has decided to go to court to demand the right to the land on which they live and an end to forced evictions. The case may have far-reaching implications in a city where 60 percent of the population lives in slums.

IRIN’s latest film portrays the struggle of the Mukuru residents and their inspirational community leader, Jack Evans Omondi Papa.
