Thembi Ngubane, from in the Cape Town township of Khayelitsha, was HIV-positive at 16 year old. While attending a support group, she was approached by a United States-based radio producer interested in making a documentary about a year in the life of a HIV-positive South African. Two years later, Thembi does HIV and AIDS outreach to schools across the country. |
